Angnst Horn

The horn is dated 1792 and more than likely Pennsylvania German based on both the name and leaf/vine motif. The most unique part of the horn is the whale mouth style carving around the throat that looks to be either a dog, fox or possibly a wolf. The lathe turned base plug is walnut with a fair size brass staple of just over an inch wide. Base plug is 2.75" inches. Overall size on the outside curve is 13.25" inches.
