John Gaeckle Rifle

The stock is from hackberry (an elm species) and the furniture is handmade. I've aged the rifle pricipally due to the overly ugly characteristics of this wood. It works as a stringy oak, very hard. The barrel is 46 1/2 inches long, 43 caliber and was hand rifled by a friend in 1995 with a gain twist.
