Brian Anderson Virginia Rifle

l got curious about the evolution of the iron mounted Appalachian rifles. After extensive and not very rewarding research attempting to span the gap between valley of Virginia and assorted Piedmont rifles and the 19th century mountain rifles I put bits together and came up with this.

So this is my 'virginia' rifle:  The stock is walnut, the lock is a "modified" durs egg, swamped 40 cal barrel, and I made the iron mounts.
