Joseph Stearns Powder Horn by Clinton E. Byers

This horn is the Joseph Stearns horn. This horn was made for a descendant of Joseph Stearns. It is based on documentation that actually places Joseph Stearns at Fort Boonesborough in 1779 and at King’s Mountain in 1780. Many of the images and crosshatch boarders were copied from or inspired by the Simeon Stearns horn which sold through Cowan’s Auctions some years ago.

Copy and photos supplied by Clinton E. Byers.
